Unwanted fermentation can affect both feed quality and the utilisation of the nutrients the animals need to benefit from. That is why many livestock producers choose to stabilise feed with acids as part of their strategy – from storage to feeding.

Stable feed provides better conditions
When yeasts and unwanted bacteria have favourable growth conditions, feed can start to ferment uncontrollably. This can affect quality, taste and shelf life.
Organic solutions of acids are used, among other things, to lower the pH in feed and create less favourable growth conditions for unwanted microorganisms. This reduces the risk of unwanted fermentation while helping to preserve feed quality and nutritional value.
The aim is more stable feed with the lowest possible loss of quality and nutrients.
Choose the acid according to the task
There is no single feed acid that is suitable for every purpose. The choice depends, among other things, on feed type, animal species and the specific challenge.
That is why Jorenku offers a wide range of organic solutions of acids developed for different applications.
The range includes, among others:
- Dancid® 80/20 for the preservation of wet feed and reduction of unwanted fermentation.
- Koncid+ for pH regulation in complete feed and wet feed.
- Dancid® Farma and Dancid® Farma+ for creating stable conditions in feed by reducing unwanted microorganisms.
- Propionic Acid+ for the preservation of, among other things, grain and complete feed rations.
The right product depends on the need
No two farms are the same, which is why it is important to choose a feed acid that suits the specific task.
At Jorenku, the range includes products for pH regulation and feed stabilisation, as well as specially developed acids for crimping and preserving, among other things, grain and complete feed rations. This makes it possible to choose the product that best suits the individual farm and the challenges that need to be addressed.
