The Danish pig producer Esben Knudsen has 730 sows and sells pigs for export at 30 kg. Over the years, he has tried several different disinfectants. But today, it is Staldren® that is used in both the farrowing pen and the climate-controlled stable – because Staldren® truly makes a difference.
“Staldren® is easy to work with and cost-effective. It is also the only product available in 15 kg bags, which are much easier to handle in daily routines than the larger 25 kg bags,” says Esben Knudsen.
He also highlights the working environment as a key reason for his choice:
“We have tried several other products before, but some of them caused allergic reactions among our staff. That is not something we experience with Staldren®.”
What is Staldren®?
Staldren® is dry disinfection based on Chloramine-T. It is designed to desinfect stables and equipment in the animal production. The product works by destroying a broade range of pathogens, including bacteria, viruses and fungi. In the video below you can see how Staldren® is used in a pig stables.
